Unity Housing Support Referral Process

1. Referral into Unity Housing project Co-Ordinator

Referral to be accepted from Local authorities or other relevant groups or bodies suitable to identify support needs of those being referred. In order to make a referral, please contact our service and request our referral template. We are always happy to discuss the criteria for making a referral. Referrals to be received via email at info@unityhousing.co.uk, telephone or online form at www.unityhousing.co.uk/contact-us/

2. Triage process to identify potential housing options

Internally, the Unity Housing Support team will cross reference the referral to available property stock and allocate a worker to process the application and tenants support requirements.

3. Referencing process commence

The allocated worker will complete the necessary reference checks for the tenant, these can include references from local authority /charity, previous landlord, current employer, support worker.

4. Interview with applicant to determine suitability and qualify information provided

Once a referral has been reviewed and initial contact and checks have been made, a member of the management team will then interview the individual referred to ensure their suitability and engagement with the provision being offered to them. Once the outcome of the interview has been considered and eligibility has been confirmed, we would then make an offer to the individual.
